In this offbeat, devilish black comedy based on a popular stage play, Bette Davis rules the roost as the matriarch of a most unusual family. The mother of three grown sons, the one-eyed Mrs. Taggart (Davis) is a relentless dominatrix of control and will stop at nothing to keep her spineless offspring under her thumb.
