In ´Hotel Splendide´ (1932) a thief is released from prison and travels to the site where he buried his stolen jewels only to discover that a hotel has been built there in the interim. ´The Night of the Party´ (1934) is set during a dinner party hosted by the ruthless Lord Studholme (Malcolm Keen).
When he is murdered during a party game, the police must uncover which of the guests is responsible for the crime.
