When Elisabeth´s body is found after an apparent suicide, Thymian seeks refuge in the arms of Robert´s assistant Meinert (Fritz Rasp), who takes advantage of her and leaves her distraught and with child. After giving up the unwanted baby, she falls into a job as a prostitute and starts on a downward spiral to destruction
