Deniz Celiloglu stars in this Turkish drama co-written and directed by Nuri Bilge Ceylan. Samet (Celiloglu) is a teacher in a remote Anatolian village who dreams of moving to Istanbul. He lives with his fellow teacher Kenan (Musab Ekici), who is younger and more charming and good-natured than Samet, much to Samet´s displeasure.
When Samet´s favourite student accuses the two men of behaving inappropriately towards her, an investigation is launched. Meanwhile, Samet grows closer to Nuray (Merve Dizdar), a teacher in a neighbouring village, but becomes increasingly jealous when she too seems to prefer Kenan
