Double bill of crime dramas based on Agatha Christie´s novels and starring Joan Hickson as amateur detective Miss Marple. In ´The Murder at the Vicarage´ (1986) Marple assists Detective Inspector Slack (David Horovitch) in solving the murder of Colonel Protheroe (Robert Lang), after he is found dead in the vicarage library, but there´s an abundance of plausible suspects and two of them even confess to the crime. In ´4.50 from Paddington´ (1987) Miss Marple finds herself investigating another possible murder after one of her friends witnesses someone being strangled on a passing train.
