Saoirse Ronan stars in this drama based on the memoirs of Amy Liptrot. Growing up on Scotland´s Orkney Islands, Rona (Ronan) finds herself stuck on a self-destructive path of alcoholism. After studying in London, enjoying the freedom that the student life brought, her need for alcohol grew stronger.
Before long her body became dependent on a drink and she struggled more and more to keep it under control. After she is attacked while under the influence, she realises she needs to change her ways and checks in to rehab. Can she turn her life around?
