Having experienced the initiation himself, he helps to bestow the boys with sacred and ancient rituals which will test their physical and emotional strength. But Xolani´s own strength is tested when he uncovers his sexual desire for other men, in a culture in which the maintenance of masculinity is of the greatest obligation
