Lee Marvin stars in this crime thriller directed by John Boorman. After helping to successfully execute a heist, gangster Walker (Marvin) is double-crossed and left for dead by his friend Reese (John Vernon). Two years later he reappears in Los Angeles determined to retrieve his share of the money.
When he discovers that Reese gave all of the loot to the crime organisation to which he was indebted, Walker begins targeting its members in an attempt to regain what he feels he is owed. The cast also includes Angie Dickinson, Keenan Wynn and Carroll O´Connor
