Meanwhile, their new neighbours, the old money van Rhijn-Brook family, welcome their niece, orphan Marian Brook (Louisa Jacobson), along with African-American aspiring writer Peggy Scott (Denée Benton) into their home.
In this season, George receives a telegram which summons him back to New York, Gladys (Taissa Farmiga)´s marriage to the Duke (Ben Lamb) remains unsure, and George reveals his railroad plans.
