Peter Weller stars in this cult sci-fi fantasy from director W.D. Richter. When adventurer and rock star Buckaroo Banzai (Weller) drives his Jet Car through a mountain, he travels to another dimension and draws the attention of the evil Doctor Lizardo (John Lithgow).

Lizardo seeks to free the Red Lectroids from the 8th Dimension where they are trapped and decides to steal Banzai´s technology to achieve his goal. Only Banzai can save the world and he must enlist the help of cowboy and brain surgeon New Jersey (Jeff Goldblum) to do it. The cast also includes Christopher Lloyd, Ellen Barkin and Rosalind Cash
