All four episodes of the British drama based on the novel by Michel Faber which follows the attempts of a young woman to improve her social standing and escape the poverty that threatens to destroy her. Young, quick-witted prostitute Sugar (Romola Garai) yearns to leave her current life behind and reinvent herself. When she meets William Rackham (Chris O´Dowd), the unwilling heir to a perfume empire, she thinks she has found her way out and agrees to become his mistress.
