Triple bill of historical action adventures starring Brendan Fraser. In ´The Mummy´ (1999) treasure hunter Rick O´Connell (Fraser) discovers Hamunaptra, the mythical City of the Dead, but is driven away by locals and then arrested. Three years later, librarian Evelyn (Rachel Weisz) and her brother Jonathan (John Hannah) bargain for Rick´s freedom so that he will take them to Hamunaptra where Evelyn hopes to find the Book of Amun-Ra.
However, when Imhotep (Arnold Vosloo), a high priest from Ancient Egypt who was buried alive for his crimes against the Pharaoh, is freed from his prison there, a great evil is unleashed upon the world. Meanwhile, the British Museum is playing host to the corpse of Imhotep.
