Jimmy Wang Yu writes, directs and stars in this martial arts action drama. A band of Japanese marauders led by Shinobu Hashimoto (Lung Fei) demand a large sum of money from the inhabitants of a small Chinese coastal village. If the residents cannot pay, their homes will be destroyed.

When wandering swordsman Hsia Feng (Wang Yu) happens upon the village and witnesses the people´s plight, he volunteers to help. As the deadline imposed by the Japanese approaches, Feng brings together a team of skilled warriors to join the fight and train the villagers to defend themselves. Will they succeed in defeating their enemy?
