In ´Young Guns´ (1988), set in 1878, William ´Billy the Kid´ Bonney (Estevez) joins a group of farmhands protecting a cattle ranch in New Mexico. Billy and his gang set out to avenge the murder of their employer, rancher John Tunstall (Terence Stamp), but their vendetta becomes a bloody rampage and they soon find themselves hunted by the local authorities.
In ´Young Guns II´ (1990) Billy and his gang break out of jail and head towards Mexico, with his former partner Pat Garrett (William L. Petersen) enlisted to hunt down and kill the outlaw
