The Swordsman is an epic fantasy-swordplay adventure in the tradition of Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon. Set during the latter years of the Ming Dynasty, The Swordsman concerns the theft from the Emperor of a sacred scroll containing valuable martial arts secrets. The scroll’s disappearance triggers an intense and deadly power struggle as a host of dangerous characters – including minions of the Imperial Court, Japanese samurai, snake-wielding tribeswomen, and the swordsman of the title, along with his fellow disciple – all vie for its possession.
