Kevin Bacon stars in this US musical drama directed by Herbert Ross. Ren McCormick (Bacon) is a city teenager who moves to the small town of Bomont where dancing has been banned by the local preacher. After falling for the preacher´s rebellious daughter Ariel (Lori Singer), Ren decides to fight against the dancing ban so that the high school´s senior class can have a prom.
