Classic British comedy directed by Alexander MacKendrick. Sidney Stratton (Alec Guinness) is a labourer at a textile mill with a secret passion project: to create a material that will never wear out or become dirty. When he finally succeeds, he crafts a brilliant white suit out of the fabric and is celebrated as a pioneer.
