Classic musical comedy starring Gene Kelly, Donald O´Connor and Debbie Reynolds. As the first sound motion pictures are being made, popular silent film star Don Lockwood (Kelly) and his sidekick Cosmo Brown (O´Connor) realise that their latest picture will need to be a talkie. However, Don´s on-screen partner, Lina Lamont (Jean Hagen), does not have the vocal skills to ensure a commercial hit for the studio.

When Don encounters chorus girl Kathy Selden (Reynolds), and falls in love with her, he attempts to dub her vocals over Lina´s. But how will he manage this without Lina finding out?
